Tbis causes Muscovy to be constantly weak and allows Otto tp advance with reckless abandon. Also ive already figured out an easy way to eat europe and stop colonization. Recent AI changes cause her to releaase vassals if she's over GC, which more often times than not blocks her from forming Russia and becoming an empire. Everytime they select we will be better off without ottoman involvement. The problem is, Muscovy is locked as a duchy, and always has GC issues when expanding.
Typically by this point, Otto has already kicked Mamluk's teeth in, Austria/Poland are no longer friends and they will standby and watch if Otto attacks the aning that there has to be another major power willing to strike in order to be a check on Otto. This is when Otto starts to become vulnerable, as long as Russia is around and is strong enough to keep her army up. Once the 1600s come along, Otto starts to lose his miltary advantages. Russia's job is to be a potential threat to Otto in case Otto gets any ideas of advancing into Europe. She should be on the verge of forming Russia if she hasnt done so already. If she's lucky she'll have parts of Crimea and/or Crimea did not get eaten by Otto. By this point, Muscovy should have integrated most of her vassals, secured Novo, Astrakhan, and Kazan. They are typically held in check by Austria and Poland in the early game. Otto will typically dominate the balkans. If Muscovy hasnt formed Russia by 1600 or so, Muscovy done F-ed up.
